Top Ten Reasons Why We Should Plant Trees Now

Problem: Deforestation causes global warming, steals homes from people and animals alike, deprives us of precious oxygen, is the number one reason for soil erosion, floods, illnesses and the destruction of environment. Sad but true. The good news is, there is always hope, even for our temporary home.

Solution: Plant trees. It's as simple as that. Even if we just plant one tree in our lifetime, imagine billions of people planting one tree. Imagine how many endangered species we can save if we plant at least one tree in our lifetime. Wouldn't that be awesome?

I wrote this while I was on my way to the city and I decided to share it with you, in the hopes that we'll be inspired enough to do something to solve this problem.

Top Ten Reasons Why We Should Plant Trees:

1. Plant a tree, save a life.
2. Every tree we plant helps the ozone layer -- oxygen, fresh air.
3. One tree takes years to grow. Let's plant one now!
4. If we each plant at least one tree in our lifetime, we would have a greener earth.
5. One tree can save the life of one child. Imagine the possibilities.
6. One person + one tree = many years added to our planet.
7. Trees give life. Each life is precious.
8. Planting trees solves global warming and that means no more calamities.
9. Trees provide shelter to so many people and animals.
10. God gave us the divine gift to care for nature.

God will prosper the works of our hands. Isn't it about time we give back in gratitude for all the gifts and the wonders of God's creation?
